Kidda’s Singalongatong Mixtape

Hailing from Brighton, musician, animator and director Kidda, released his debut album ‘Going Up’ in 2008. Lead track ‘Under The Sun’ was used to back an international Bacardi ad before being remixed into various end-of-year club charts by Herve. 2009 sees the writing of a new album, DJ spots all over the planet and kicking off with the release of new single ‘Feel Too Good’ in March, remixed by bassline supremos Jack Beats and Kiddas’ own remix moniker, Cockblockers.

Benny Benassi’s Mixtape

 Benny Benassi was born in Milan in 1967 and then grew up in the provincial town of Reggio Emilia, Italy. He started dj-ing when he ws still at school and has been producing with his cousin Alle Benassi for about ten years at Off Limits studios. His first as a producer was with the track “I feel so fine” by KMC feat. Dhany which went to n°1 in the UK club charts in 2001. The following year, working under the BENNY BENASSI presents THE BIZ trademark, Benny and Alle came up with “Satisfaction” and in one fell swoop ravaged the dancefloors and dominated sales charts round the world. The album “Hypnotica” followed. In the meantime Benny and Alle produced more melodic dance music under the Benassi Bros. banner. The charts of half the planet gave them the thumbs up.
The Benassis have also remixed artists such as Outkast, David Guetta, Moby, Goldfrapp, Paul Oakenfold, Faithless and Public Enemy, to name but a few.
Benny has won tons of prizes and awards around the world and continues to tour the five continents with his unique style, once described as “electro, sort of house-tec, dirty and cool, sweaty and smooth”.

Focusing on the DJ side of his musical persona, Japanese superstar Shinichi Osawa, whose most recent album The One has just been released in the UK on Southern Fried and has sold over 150,000 units in Japan, has made an album which supersedes genre classification. Steve Mac’s Back To My House Mixtape

Since his first foray into House music back in 1990, Steve Mac has carved out an enviable career for himself within the very top tier of the world’s DJ’s and producers. Starting out as a scratch DJ at the tender age of 11, Steve’s musical background was rooted in the pioneering sounds of 80’s Hip-Hop when genre defining artists such as Grandmaster Flash and Public Enemy were laying down the blueprint. As part of a local Hip-Hop group in Malta, Steve met his production partner-to-be Rob Chetcuti. The pair took an interest in each other’s ‘formulating talent’ and went on to form the hugely successful production/DJ duo The Rhythm Masters.
As a performer Steve’s DJ sets are pure energy. He regularly makes use of 3 decks, CDjs, FX and samplers that all contribute to the seamless and funk-fuelled sound for which he is famed.

Paul Harris’ Mixtape.

The word ‘crossover’ could have been invented for DJ/producer/remixer Paul Harris. The Grammy-winning artist (with global dancestars Dirty Vegas) is as at home DJing and producing for underground clubs as he is playing at fashion shows for the likes of Julien Mcdonald and Hugo Boss. And while tracks like Baditude (with Dave Spoon and Sam Obernik) regularly land plaudits such as Essential New Tune on Pete’s Radio 1 show, Harris is also the go-to guy for mainstream artists from Kylie (songwriting and production) to Justin Timberlake and Madonna (remix duties – Dirty Vegas’ mix of Die Another Die was used in the Bond film).
